       Established in the year 2018 at Lumdung, Seppa in East Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh.

       The educational centre has been constructed on the 36 acres of land at Lumdung village in East Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh. The plot of land was donated by the Nanghee Natung Moya Tacha Welfare Society and the people of Lumdung area.

       Formally, on 13th September, Ramakrishna Mission Sishu Vidyamandir started at Lumdung.

       The first batches of Class-I and Class-II starts with the new academic term temporarily from Govern. Middle School, Lumdung.

Introduction

       The Ramakrishna Mission Shishu Vidyamandir, Lumdung, Seppa-790102, East Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh is an introductory step of the advent of Ramakrishna Mission in the Western half of Arunachal Pradesh. As per the request of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Ramakrishna Mission has agreed to establish a Secondary School on the hilltop of Lumdung. The construction work has started to some extent and the project is stipulated to be completed by 2021. The great historian and Nobel Laureate Sir Arnold Toynbee had said: “The modern world had a western beginning but if it is to survive it must have and eastern end, with special emphasis on Ramakrishna Vivekananda ideology”. In fact, the outstanding definition of Education that Swami Vivekananda offered to the world is the Watchword of our Educational Institutions and this Primary School is no exception to that.

Historical background

       In the end of June, 2017, the Naghee Natung Mowa Tocha Welfare Society of Lumdung village, Arunachal Pradesh donated a piece of land to Ramakrishna Mission with an expectation that a Residential Secondary School should start at this place so as to fulfill a long-standing demand of the people of Arunachal Pradesh. On 30th March, 2018 there was a meeting at Lumdung Government Secondary School to discuss about the commencement of a Primary School for the time being. The Government School Management was kind enough to provide some space to start up a Primary School on temporary basis to be run by the Ramakrishna Mission. Shri Mama Natung, Sri Shishu Natung, Shri Hari Natung, Dr. Tanie Natung along with the District Administration had agreed wholeheartedly to support the noble project if taken up the Mission. It was decided that the Classes for Grade-I and Grade-II would start in the month of September, 2018. Construction has been going on in full swing.

Medium of Instruction

       Teaching is primarily conducted through English. But Hindi will be used as a substitute language in case of any individual’s problem. In the process of learning importance of the National Language Hindi, should not be ignored.

Travelling arrangements

       School Bus/Van services will be available from Seppa to Lumdung. Parents from other villages have to arrange the vehicle of their own to drop their child. Other parents may arrange their own transport to drop their child at the school and to get him/her back home after the classes. To avail transport facility, a printed proforma has to be filled in and transportation fees to be deposited in advance.

       We hope this educational institute will appease the mind of the people of this region with utmost care according to sister institutions in India.

      Inaugural function

       Attending the inaugural function, Mr. Mama Natung, MLA signified the day a remarkable day and encourages all stakeholders to carry errands for the betterment of education and insisted them to go another level cooperatively for the uplifting of social, cultural and educational enrichment of this district.

       In shaping the world and the virtual world view towards any education by the sermons and the great endeavor of our Swami Vivekananda, Mr. Mama Natung bring up to date about the brunt of thinking , ideas, viewpoint on education and avowed the roles of education in creating the nation to be physically and mentally powerful. Also, he further requested to people of this district and adjacent people to give utmost weight for better culturally enrich of their children.

       He said that the education is the very powerful medium on which we can develop any society, any class is depended upon. He further reiterated that with the arms and weapons, any nation cannot be made strong but through only education we can make it as a strong society. “Education is the inevitable block building foundation for any society to be transfigured into a highly modern developed society. The society will not be developed; the mentality of thinking of the people will not be developed, if the education sector is not developed fully, he stated.

       In achieving the true value of education, everybody should participate and extend all possible assistance in solving any problem by education; this is the only mantra to resolve any problem.

       Quoting “every person during this world has one or some kind of sense of duty and responsibility and he should attempt to influence these duties,” he exhorted the students to act as student and urged them to absorb high-quality character and discipline in life and believer the great ideas of Swami Vivekananda.

         Pinning hope that faculty will produce many successful individuals in near future, he further requested the teaching fraternity and school authority to impart good and quality education, which are relevant to the changing environment.

       Stressing on the importance of education for better tomorrow, he further informed that the dream of fixing  of many individuals who have helped, contributed and work extremely hard for the same . For that, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to HCM Pema Khandu and his Team Arunachal for his or her constant support and cooperation and to the villagers for reposing their faith on him.

      Highlighting the works and achievements of RK Mission, Srimat Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj urged everyone to introspect truth meaning of Swami Vivekananda messages which sees the earth together a big family and being a family, everyone should love and care about each other’s prosperity. He opined and exhorted the people no matter different religions to follow and concur the ideology of humanity, love, peace and tolerance which is underscored because the sole solution to all or any or any hatred and chaos during this era of Kalyug.

       Briefing about the importance of education, he expressed gratitude to every individual for his or her support in establishment of RK Mission School and urged everyone to extend their cooperation in future too for smooth operation of the varsity.

       He further informed that the inspiration stone for RK Mission School to start out out the upper secondary level are getting to be laid very soon.

      Expressing immense joy in witnessing the historic event, the then East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Mr. Gaurav Singh Rajawat explained about the importance of education and informed that education makes a private to become champion of explanation for justice and contributor within the general development of the society.

       Admitting that the RK Mission School goes to be a game-changer in terms of socio-economic and cultural development of the world, he appreciated the yeoman services being provided by the teachers in bringing changes within the society and simultaneously, urged the school members to encourage and motivate and impart quality education to students. He exhorted the scholars to accord top priority to review and urged them to remain faraway from bad habits and anti social activities.

   Former Minister Hari Natung, Swami Sarvagananda and the then East Kameng SP Mr. Vikas Kumar also spoke on the occasion and narrated about the good speech as delivered by Swami Vivekananda within the World Parliament of faith at Chicago, where he has proposed and advocated the thought of universal brotherhood.

       Statue of Swami Vivekananda was unveiled and garlanded within the event.

     School bags were also distributed to new and first-batch students of the varsity. HoDs, teaching fraternity and staffs of both Sishu Vidyamandir and Government Middle School, Lumdung, students and fogeys, public leaders, and public in huge number were also present and witnessed the historic event.

About Rama Krishna Mission

       The Ramakrishna Mission is a Hindu religious and spiritual organisation which forms the core of a worldwide spiritual movement referred to as the Ramakrishna Movement or the Vedanta Movement. Swami Vivekananda is the founder of this Mission.

       Arnold Joseph Toynbee CH FBA 14 April 1889 – 22 October 1975) was a British historian, a philosopher of history, an author of various books and a research professor of International History at the London School of Economics and King's College, London.
