Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Seppa, East Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh
Krishi Vigyan Kendra is situated at Pampoli, 3.5 km away from Seppa Township, East Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh is a district level Farm Science Centre, which is an agricultural technology application Centre, established under the Directorate of Agriculture, Government of Arunachal Pradesh by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. The Kendra is established at Pampoli in the last part of 2008 which is away from 5-6 kms from the Seppa Main Township. The aim of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) is to reduce the time lag between the generation of technology at research institute and its transfer to the farmers’ field for increasing huge productivity, income and production from the agriculture and allied sector. In order to acquire this goal, four mandates have been tackled. They are training to the farmers, farm women and rural youth, conducting On Farm Trials (OFT), Front Line Demonstration (FLD) and training to the extension personnel. The Kendra has conducted all total of 64 trainings for the farmers, farm women and rural youth at different villages, 1 training for extension personnel. The Kendra has conducted 10 OFTs and 14 FLDs under different discipline during the year 2014-15. Besides, Kendra has been organizing Technology Week each and every year since 2009.
Mandate I: OFT
Types of crops are Rice, Maize, Soybean, Green gram, Pea, Cabbage, Orange, and Fishery.
Mandate II: Front line demonstrations
Types of crops are Cereals, Oilseeds, Pulses, Fruits, Vegetables, Nutrition garden, Drudgery reduction, Fishery and Poultry.
Now, the year 2020, many activities on training, activities of youth training programme has been conducting in every year.
