Lumum Waterfall

Lumum Waterfall is situated at 9-10 kms away from Bhalukpong in the District-West Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh and from Nichiphu '0' Point it is almost 37 kms.

Alike all waterfalls of Arunachal Pradesh, it is the first Lumum Waterfall who enters from the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh Border BHALUKPONG. About the falls:
The waterfall is referred to as the Lumum Falls. It has an artificial pool built round it wherein human beings take baths. The water stage is chest-high. The pool has provisions for the water to go with the drift out and is hooked up thru a tunnel beneath the street to the Kameng river. The waterfall has been named after Rani Lumum of Hrussos (Akas). Earlier it became called ‘Mimjeow Kutsu’ through the Hrussos (Akas), indigenous humans of the land. Lumum was married to Drulyu Dususow, the head of Gohaintain village. After the demise of Drulyu Dususow, Lumum have become the ‘Nugom’ of Gohaintain village, due to her expertise and morality.
