Arunachal Paragliding Festival at Papu Valley, Lumdung

 

A grand celebration of Arunachal Paragliding Festival is done at Papu Valley, Lumdung, East Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh. People from different corner of the state have participated from18th and 19th November, 2018.  

This is the first time such PARAGLIDING event has been organized in entire North East States of India. The two days flying event was declared open by our HMLA 11-Seppa West Shri Mama Natung. Shri Gaurav Singh Rajawat DC Seppa, East Kameng District, Officers, public leaders, general public, students community witnessed the first of its kind event. There are 30 Pilots are participated in the grand festival. They are from Slonenija, Canada, Nepal, Indonesia , USA and 30 gliders are participated from different part of our country. Addressing the large gathering Shri Mama Natung said that the festival would be long way in promoting adventures sports & tourism in the state and will also increase economic condition of the people living in this area.

           This is one of the best Paragliding spot in the North East states. He thanked Sports & Tourist department for supporting the event and assured Paragliding Association President Shri Vijay Sonam of support to ensure the festival. This is first time in the states, there all have enjoyed adventurous sports like Paragliding over the beautiful Papu Valley and it gave us immense Pleasure and leisure.
