District Library Seppa
The District Library Office is situation at the heart of the town of Seppa, East Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh. The District Library Building constructed with the “Assistance of Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation” at the cost of Rs. 25 lakhs. The Foundation of Raja Ram Mohan Roy Library was created by the Central Government in 1972 for enhancing knowledge, promoting and supporting the library network in India. Raja Rammohun Roy was a social reformer and also the founding father of .Indian Renaissance.
The District Sports Office and District Research Office are adjacent of it. It is functioning important task to educate the students and to assist the teachers, faculties, and other research scholar by providing books of all kind, magazines, journals, news papers, and etcetera. And also, for readers Reading Room facility is available in the Library. The public libraries are promoting adult education to literate women and children who are illiterate. In 1991, the audio-visual education has also been introduced in the district.
There are 800 books are available of on various genre. Novels, Stories, Biographies, Computer Books, District Review Data Book, books on travels and adventures, poems etcetera are available. Some books are listed here:

Why a Library is important to our society? The Library is a useful medium to spread of knowledge and it an integral part of culture and in developing the society.
To take part as a Reader or Subscriber, he/she should have to fill up a registration form, registration fee is nominal. The library lends books to the readers for a period of time. He/she should return the book in certain time period, it may be renewed or you can borrow another new book according to your choice. The reader should see that the books are neither lost nor torn up. Nothing should be written there and the books are to be returned as early as possible because some other readers may require it urgently.
In other words, we need a best place for reading and expand our own knowledge and improve tactics towards the general people and respect for each other. We know that interest of people is different; person to person, like for the football players - football ground at Seppa is basic place, the reader who wants to read, wants to spend time in library for hour and hour, this library is the best place for the readers. And some libraries offer readers an easy scope of reading valuable books which are not easy for them to buy. We can record the day to day the socio-cultural activities, development activities rather than cultural, electricity posts, solar installation as a Historian. The virtual world might have engulfed our brain but should not forget to use the real world, need to live the actual and practical world. And we also knew that many activities have been carried by the virtual world, it is great, but to some extent and we also learn practical knowledge from it.
About Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation
The Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation” was formally inaugurated on May 20, 1972 at the National Library campus, Beelvedere, Kolkata. With the 29 objectives for its operation, the foundation was laid down. The most important objectives are:
• To encourage the Library movement in the country.
• It is highly concerned to upgrade the rural communities with the access to information for making the best decision by their own wisdom in day to day life communications.
• With the help of State government authorities, the Foundation establishes libraries in tribal areas, backward areas, hilly and forest areas in order to literate the illiterate, innocent public into a modern life-style.
• To provide technical and financial assistance to libraries;
• To maintain a National Register of qualified libraries and fields of specialization.
